DrivingRevenue.travel was created in 2008 to showcase innovation and best practices in the sales and marketing discipline of the hospitality and travel industry. Particularly at the intersection of marketing and technology, there are many new techniques, initiatives and practices that are tested and deployed. Some are readily adopted as standard practice and others are abandoned, but few travel marketers have the time to stay as current as they would like in this highly dynamic environment.
DrivingRevenue.travel publishes many forms of content to convey what is happening in various sectors of the travel industry and to create a forum for dialogue on these hot topics. This website is a venue for business-to-business interaction and serves as a resource to travel marketers, managers and vendors to quickly find out the latest, the coolest, and what has worked effectively. It is designed to inspire marketers through illustration of the many new approaches available to better position a brand (which may or may not include technology). While there will be opportunities for vendors to advertise and improve their visibility to travel marketers, the content featured is not driven by vendors, but rather by the site’s editorial board and its staff. As it is somewhat of an experiment, (since there isn’t any other site like it in the travel industry), it will evolve as time goes on and the users of the site decide what is most relevant for them. Comments and suggestions are most welcome.
Founder, Cindy Estis Green, has published many industry special reports and books related to innovations and best practices in travel industry sales and marketing. The research and the developments related to these groundbreaking reports continue well beyond their publication. This website extends the learning from these reports by featuring constantly changing new examples and by stimulating and facilitating a hospitality and travel industry dialogue for the benefit of marketers, operators, managers, vendors and any other constituents involved in the sales or marketing process. |
